Delay at the start of direct flights from North America to Funchal and from North America to Porto

The SATA Group informs that the start of direct air operations from North America to Madeira Island (Funchal) and Porto has been delayed by one week due to operational reasons. This resulted in the rescheduling of the first direct flights between Toronto <> Funchal; Boston <> Funchal; Toronto <> Porto; Boston <> Porto; and Porto <> New York.

In response to this event, the SATA Group is notifying passengers and rebooking them on alternative flights via Ponta Delgada to minimize disruptions.

These inaugural flights were planned to be operated on an EuroAtlantic Airlines equipment (ACMI) with two classes of service (Comfort and Economy).

The first flights between Ponta Delgada and Faro, scheduled for June 2nd, and between Ponta Delgada and Milan, scheduled for June 5, remain unchanged.
