We inform you that, following the strike announced by two unions affiliated with Menzies Portugal, there may be operational constraints on Azores Airlines flights to/from mainland Portugal on December 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026.
To minimize the impact on passengers, we request your cooperation in disseminating the following recommendations:
- Flight Changes
Changes are permitted for dates outside the strike days, without penalties or fare differences. Changes are allowed for SATA flights and for travel until January 7, 2026. To update/reissue tickets, contact us through the usual channels.
- Refunds under Involuntary
Not authorized.
- The following operations are planned as minimum services:
- December 31, 2025:
- S4135 LIS TER
- S4134 TER LIS
- S48273 LIS PDL, operated by TAP (TP1859)
- S48272 PDL LIS, operated by TAP (TP1860)
- January 1, 2026:
- S44021 PDL SMA LIS
- S4125 LIS PDL
- S48222 TER LIS, operated by TAP (TP1824)
- S48823 LIS TER, operated by TAP (TP1823)
- December 31, 2025:
- Whenever possible, advise passengers to carry their baggage in the cabin only, respecting the limits set by the airline: Carry-On Baggage | Azores Airlines.
- Recommend online check-in, available at www.azoresairlines.pt.
- Emphasize the importance of arriving at the airport on time, both for check-in and boarding: Check-in times | Azores Airlines.
Note: Tickets voluntarily changed by the passenger, without cancellation of the flight initially booked by the airline, do not entitle the passenger to assistance or compensation under Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004. The right to assistance applies only in the event of actual flight cancellation.
