Below are the procedures and requirements for transporting and/or using Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) and Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) devices on board. For validation and confirmation, the request must be made at the time of booking, using the GDS entries in Special Service Request (SSR) format:
- Transport as hand luggage or checked baggage:
PPOC – NOT TO BE USED ON BOARD
CPAP – NOT TO BE USED ON BOARD
- Transport and use on board:
PPOC – TO BE USED ON BOARD
CPAP – TO BE USED ON BOARD
Note: The SSR MEDA and respective MEDIF are always required in these cases.
Conditions for acceptance: Oxygen Needs | Azores Airlines.
The MEDIF form must be completed in full.
Due to its fragility, this item should preferably be carried as hand baggage.
